Dunedin Highland Middle School

Rock Band - Kilted

Chaos

Every Monday morning beginning 8/26, 8:15AM-9:15AM. Meet in front of

the school by 8:15AM.

Depending on interest, two rock bands may be formed and each group

rotate, meeting every other week. Open to students who have prior

experience on guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, drum set, singing, and

concert instruments. Must own their own guitar or bass guitar. Extra

rehearsals may occur on Tuesday mornings as needed. Those will be

announced at least week in advance.

Jazz Band -

Swingin’ Scots

Every Thursday morning beginning 8/29, 8:15AM-9:15AM. Meet in front

of the school by 8:15AM.

Open to students who have prior experience on guitar, bass guitar,

keyboard/piano, drum set, vibraphone, trumpet, trombone, and

saxophone. 1 year in DHMS band is recommended. Extra rehearsals may

occur on Wednesday mornings as needed. Those will be announced at

least week in advance.

Advanced Pipes &

Drums

Every Wednesday afternoon beginning 8/28, 4:30PM-5:30PM.

Must be enrolled in 8th period Pipes and Drums to participate. Must have

completed Beginning Pipes and Drums. Pick up at 5:30PM in back of

school.

Beginning Pipes &

Drums

Every Monday afternoon beginning 9/9, 4:10PM-5:00PM.

Must be enrolled in a performing arts class (theater, band, orchestra,

chorus). No other prior experience is needed. Pick up at 5:00PM in back

of school.

Students should strive to be at all events and rehearsals. Missing 2 or more rehearsals will result in

dismissal from the ensemble. Missing a performance without instructor approval will result in

dismissal from the ensemble.

Other events may be added for Kilted Chaos depending on gigs and venues.
